Neighborhood

The B&R Mobile Home Court has nurtured friends and families for more than 40 years on the corner of Cedar Avenue and Ness Road. The mobile home park was built and operated by Bob and Rosie Bates, who are the "B" and the "R" namesakes of the development. Through the many years the two of them have been "Mom" and "Dad" and "Grandpa" and "Grandma" to the hundreds and hundreds of folks who have lived in the park under the watch of their caring eyes.

Directly across Cedar street from B&R is the Jefferson County Library, a wonderful service for the residents of 611 Cedar residential community. The library loans out books and videos. It offers free access to online computers and it hosts educational presentations. All the services are used and enjoyed by residents from our side of the street.

This is a photo of our small museum in the park. Most residents do not even know where this display of farming and logging equipment is located. To find it you have to walk along the streets and keep your eyes open to spot it. Admission is free.

Port Hadlock's commercial businesses are a quick walk from the homes at 611 Cedar. QFC is the main mall and grocery shopping store. Nearby places to eat are Burgers Landing, Ferino's Pizza, Scampi and Halibut, Valley Tavern, and the Crazy Otter. Grab and run food is located at 76 Mart across from QFC.
